Shudao Smart Transportation Group Went to Malaysia to Carry out Project Investigation and intensify "the belt and road initiative" Smart Transportation Cooperation

From 2025 October 27 to 30, taking the opportunity of the 47th ASEAN Summit and “the Belt and Road cooperation initiative”, Shudao (SDIG) Smart Transportation Group, together with the Highway Research Institute, formed a delegation led by Chen Fei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman, and General Manager, to carry out a four-days project inspection and business engagement visit to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Focusing on the implementation of Smart transportation solutions, the delegation accelerated overseas expansion and supported “the Belt and Road Initiative” through a model of “cooperation signing, government-enterprise dialogue, and on-site inspection.”

Deepening Cooperation and Jointly Mapping Out a Smart Transportation Blueprint

On October 28, the delegation held an exchange meeting with representatives of Malaysia FIVONE International and relevant partner organizations. As a partner in Malaysia, FIVONE International has extensive resources and practical experience in areas such as smart city development, 5G tower construction, and public security informatization. The meeting focused on in-depth discussions over Smart transportation systems and smart mobility management, and the two sides signed a strategic cooperation agreement, setting a clear direction for future collaboration. The delegation then conducted an on-site visit to the modern terminal facilities at Port Klang to learn about the port’s logistics management practices.

On-Site Inspection to Explore Practical Paths for Technology Deployment

From October 29 to 30, the delegation carried out an on-site inspection of the Shah Alam Expressway, gaining a detailed understanding of the operation of road tolling, emergency coordination, and structural monitoring systems, analyzing access methods for Smart transportation systems, and assessing the feasibility of building a cross-regional coordination platform. During the visit, the delegation separately met with Mohamad Haszmir Bin Yusoff, Deputy Director-General of the Malaysian Highway Authority, and Dato’ Mahmud bin Abbas, Chief Executive Officer of the Selangor State platform company (PKNS). Discussions centered on smart city and smart transportation planning in Selangor, exploring areas of cooperation such as highway investment and construction, road safety management, and monitoring center development. The meetings also identified points of alignment between Chinese experience and local needs, clarified projects with a solid basis for implementation, and established a regular coordination mechanism to help move cooperative projects from planning to execution.

A Key Step Forward in the “Going Global” Strategy

As a pioneer in the Smart transportation segment of Shudao Group, this visit marked an important step in the company’s implementation of its internationalization strategy and in building overseas experience. Leveraging its technological strengths in Smart transportation, green infrastructure, and digital twin applications developed in China, Shudao Smart Transportation Group is using Malaysia as a strategic foothold to explore an overseas development model featuring “technology export, project implementation, and long-term cooperation.” Going forward, the company will continue to focus on green transportation corridors, smart parks, and Smart highway upgrade projects, delivering Chinese smart transportation solutions, expanding the influence of the “Shudao Intelligence” brand, contributing to high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and supporting new breakthroughs in overseas market expansion.
